Hodge Podge

My sister in law bought us me a slow cooker 4 months ago and I am just now trying it out.  I have never used a crock pot before, and am now obsessed with finding recipes.  This is one of the best inventions ever.  Cooking is a snap now.  It was hard for me to work a 9 hour day, exercise, and make a home cooked meal before 9pm.  I made this sandwich a few days ago and it was oh so good.  The picture I took on my phone got deleted, so am borrowing this from Jonna.  We had corn on the cob instead of chips.

I made this dip this weekend for the Carolina game since we had an away.  It got rave reviews.  I think it needs some sour cream to make it even better.  I am going to be making this for the Halloween party. My plan is to put it in a cauldron and serve with blue tortilla chips

I made this recipe last night.  I used 2 cans of broccoli instead of one.  Quick and easy, and we will be eating that again tonight.  I am not a huge leftover fan, but so far, I am enjoying the savings in time and money.

Dog-gone Cute

I never grew up with pets, and it is funny to everyone who knows me (including myself) how much I have become a dog person.  I never understood how a pet could be family until I got them.  They are my fur babies.  


Napoleon is the oldest. He will be 3 next month

Gizmo turned 2 last month

Napoleon was by himself for a year and a half before we got Gizmo.  They are the best of friends.

Stripes and... Spiders?

I am crazy about stripes.  This is my favorite sweater I got in the big Old Navy sale I talked about a couple of weeks ago.

And will likely be going back to get this one too (or maybe the royal blue and black). 

I am finalizing my Halloween decor.  Here is a sneak peek. I've gotten so many cute and scary things, and I am super excited to see how it all looks together.

You may remember the black ones I showed in the Trick or Treat post.  Went back to get 2 more in purple.  The candle is from Pier 1 and comes in a pack of 6

Also got 2 of these from Home Goods.  I obviously love Glitter

I have a lot more to share, but saving the final reveal until after our party.

We are trying to figure out our costumes and are at a roadblock.  Anyone have suggestions for couples?
