Easy as Pie
This is my go to dessert. If you've ever been to O'Charley's then you will recognize this pie. It's the ooey gooey caramel pie (minus the pecans), and its so yummy and extremely easy to make.
What you'll need:
Graham cracker pie crust
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
Cool Whip
Chocolate chips
The most time consuming part is making the caramel. All you have to do is boil the cans of sweetened condensed milk for 4 hours, making sure that the water stays above the top of the cans.
Remove from the water and allow to cool for about 10 minutes. Carefully remove the caramel from the cans since it will still be pretty hot. Take a few spoonfuls for yourself Add to the graham cracker crust, and allow to cool for a few hours. I usually cool mine overnight.
It doesn't have to be perfect since it will be covered by the whipped cream,
and then the chocolate chips. I love chocolate chips so I add a lot.
So easy and everyone will love it!

Currently Loving, Christmas Edition
You may remember when I did this post over the summer. This is what I am currently loving this month.
Online shopping. I love the mall, just not this time of year.
Red Nails-- I usually like to mix it up, but I have done red nails for 2 weeks straight.
Pink cameras. I've told my husband all I want for Christmas is a new camera. I had a canon before, and I think its a great camera. Here are the top contenders.
And just in case my husband wants to really splurge, the Nikon 1.

This is one of those free sephora samples with a glitter polish from ulta.
OPI's Woka Woka from the Muppet collection. This is a beautiful polish in person. I added the snowflake. I always have to do something different with my ring finger.
Peppermint bark from Williams-Sonoma. This stuff is so good.
This beautiful red dress from Asos.
Starbucks' nonfat no-whip peppermint white chocolate mocha. I am afraid to look at the calories in it, I can't give it up.

The Big Easy
We had a great time in New Orleans last weekend. My first visit did not disappoint. I love the architecture and culture, and of course the food. It actually reminds me a lot of Charleston. I wish we were there longer than 48hrs. We will definitely be making a trip back this spring.
I finally got my camera back, and have realized that my phone takes better pictures. I have had this camera for a while (it only has 6 megapixels), so way past time to upgrade. I'm hoping to get a new one for Christmas (hint, hint).
We passed by the basketball arena and the Superdome on our way from the airport to the hotel.
We all stayed at the Hotel Monteoleone which is a beautiful hotel on Royal Street in the French Quarter.
Lobby
Carousel Bar inside hotel
and drinking.
Architecture
St.Louis Cathedral during day
and at night-- this picture does not do it justice.
Better picture- fotolibra
Music was everywhere...
...even in the artwork.
The food was great. We had a birthday brunch for my grandmother's 90th at Court of Two Sisters. The food was amazing. I tried duck for the first (and last time).
What I wore to brunch
Random snapshots
Tarot reading
Real life statue.
I don't know how many times we passed by this store, but the cat was always sleeping.
There were a lot of weddings that weekend. We passed by this beautiful reception.
I took so many pictures, I can't put them all on here. I can't wait to get back.
